Art class in Doncaster

Having previously worked for Doncaster Art College, she has an educational approach to learning to paint and draw. She encourages beginners and advanced artists to explore every media and find out what works best for them as individuals. New students soon increase in confidence through the variety in their studies with Katherine. More experienced artists often feel refreshed and re-inspired. She teaches at her class in Doncaster and with individual clients around the South Yorkshire area. She also works with Brevon Art Gallery doing workshops and Life Drawing classes.There are a few spaces in her Monday night art class in Scawthorpe. About the art class in Doncaster…
Whether you are a beginner, amateur or professional artist you will be inspired and made welcome.
As an amateur or professional artist you may wish to come along and work in a motivating environment. Katherine does demonstrations and teaches where and when appropriate. She likes to see artists develop and will guide you as much or as little as you require.
As a beginner you will be guided through a number of projects, developing your basic painting and drawing skills. You will be shown how and where to start. Katherine will help you to improve your skills, techniques and confidence. When you feel confident and ready to take your own steps you will be guided through creating your own project. This will allow you to develop your painting and drawing in any direction that you wish.
Painting Outdoors
During the summer months in the warm weather some of the classes will be outdoors in Sprotborough, Cusworth, or sometimes on a Saturday at Thoresby Park or perhaps Rufford. Students tend to car share, so there’s no problem about getting there.
You will not be required to study outside of the class but you will be encouraged should you wish to do so. There will be opportunities to purchase discount art supplies.
Prices
£6.00 per 2 hour session. Payment for the month is due on the first Monday of each month.
Classes do not run on bank holidays and most school holidays.
Life Drawing Classes are at Brevon Art Gallery in Doncaster. Katherine does Art Workshops and Painting Demonstrations and offers Private Art Tuition.
